Diploma in Pharmacy or D.Pharm. is an undergraduate diploma in medical pharmacy. Pharmacy involves preparing, dispensing, and using medicines for therapy. D. How to qualify for admission to D. Pharm. course?

To be eligible for admission to the Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) program at the Institute of Pharmacy, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Passed 10+2 examination from a recognized Board in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as subjects
  • Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination in Arts or Commerce stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as optional subjects are also eligible
  • Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination in Vocational Stream with subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics are also eligible

Age Limit:

  • The minimum age limit for admission to the D. Pharm program is 17 years

Duration of the course

The course duration is 2 years and each academic year is spread over to 180 days of classes or working days. There is 500 hour practical training spreading across to 3 months and not more than that.
